Tschuldigung – apologies!

Tschuldigung
Tschuldigung by Christoph & Lollo

The new album by Christoph & Lollo was released today – “Tschuldigung”. If you want to know what to be afraid of in today’s world – if you are wondering why you are not allowed to pee in public places – to find out why communication between men and women is difficult at times – a history lesson (on the revolution of 1848) – and many more nice (or not so nice) songs…

Two youtube videos to give you an idea: Islamlied and Karl-Heinz… If you want to listen to the whole album, non-public listenings may be arranged at der gelbe Salon.

The Fall – 2D home alone

Gorillaz - The Fall

The Gorillaz sort of released a new album – The Fall. It is described by Die Zeit as a 2D-solo-album – there are hardly any guest appearances, compared to Plastic Beach. Anyway – if you like them, you’ll enjoy this album. Fortunately, you can stream it for (virtually) free at thefall.gorillaz.com – you only have to provide an e-mail address. Enjoy!

P.S.: you don’t actually have to give an e-mail address – just clicking on “I’m on the mailing list” should do the trick…

“Traditionelles Neujahrsspringen!” (2011)

Christoph und Lollo

We went to see Christoph und Lollo this weekend, for the “Traditionelles Neujahrsspringen” (see the previous post) at the Kabarett Niedermair. Like last year, it was the perfect start into a new year. And we are very much looking forward to their new album!

Der gelbe Salon wishes all our readers a successful year 2011!

DasBiber – with spicy!

Das Biber - mit scharf
Das Biber - mit scharf

Das Biber is a monthly magazine on the issues that you do not see on Vienna’s beaten tourist tracks – “Grätzl”-talk, immigrants’ stories, politics from the “off” angle, and 100 things that you never knew you should know before you knew them.

By the way, you can subscribe to das Biber for free – for a real printed copy of the magazine. Where can you still get that, in a time where more and more newspapers hide their online articles behind a pay-wall?

For subscribing or just find out more, go to www.dasbiber.at!

Disclaimer: please be careful – dasbiber comes “mit sharf”!
