Doing good around the corner…
Wednesday, January 6th, 2010What do you do when you find out that someone you know as being a nice, lovable chap is doing something really great in their free time, without making a big fuss about it? As is the case with this guy and his friends who don’t just talk about how the world should be changed, but actually sit down and do it. They are working in the field of development cooperation and IT – Information and Communication Technologies for Development, ICT4D short.
Ok, unfortunately, I don’t have a clue about IT, don’t know much about development cooperation, and don’t have much money to spare – so the only thing I can actually do is write about them – hoping that someone reads about their project who is in a better position than me to make a contribution and offer support!
By the way, there is an interesting exhibition at the Leopold museum in Vienna – about children toys – but much more than that, too. Read more…
